Expert Lecture Series: Endometriosis Uncovered: Molecular Mechanisms and Their Impact on Treatment and Fertility CME/CE

Date Friday, June 6, 2025
Time 11:45am - 12:30pm CST
Location Grand Ballroom

Summary

Patients with endometriosis and adenomyosis, who are receiving treatments such as in vitro fertilization, or frozen embryo transfer have a lower rate of pregnancy or live births compared with patients without these disorders. The eutopic endometrium of patients with endometriosis/ adenomyosis display distinct and reproducible somatic mutations and other molecular abnormalities. Thus, it was proposed that targeting these molecular factors may improve live birth rate in this population. This presentation will include discussion on this perspective.

Learning Objectives

  1. Become familiar with clinical data IVF/ FET outcome in patients with endometriosis /Adenomyosis

  2. List key molecular abnormalities in endometrial tissue of patients with endometriosis/Adenomyosis

  3. Review key clinical trials regarding FET after treating endometriosis or adenomyosis
