Kristen Ivani, HCLD, PhD

Dr. Ivani is a native of San Francisco who earned her BS and MS degrees in Animal Science and was awarded her PhD in Physiology from the Animal Reproduction and Biotechnology group at Colorado State University. Kristen served as the Laboratory and Scientific Director at Reproductive Science Center of the San Francisco Bay Area for over 30 years and is currently the Lab Director at Seattle Reproductive Medicine. Kristen also works as a laboratory consultant collaborating with programs to improve IVF Laboratory performance and outcomes. Kristen is a board-certified High Complexity Laboratory Director in the disciplines of Embryology and Andrology. She has authored and co-authored over 65 articles, abstracts, and book chapters. She is a member of the ASRM, ESHRE, Pacific Coast Reproductive Society, AAB's College of Reproductive Biology, and the Northern California Association of Reproductive Biologists. She has served as a journal reviewer and as a Reproductive Laboratory inspector for the College of American Pathologists. She enjoys early mornings in the IVF Lab, baking for others, backpacking, sharing her love of embryology, and volunteering as Director at a historic Girl Scout backpacking camp in the Sierras.
