Kristen Ivani, HCLD, PhD

Dr. Kristen Ivani, a rarely-found native of San Francisco, earned her BS and MS degrees in Animal Science from UC Davis and the University of Idaho. She completed her PhD in Physiology at Colorado State University with the Animal Reproduction and Biotechnology group. Kristen served as the Laboratory and Scientific Director at the Reproductive Science Center of the San Francisco Bay Area for over 30 years before “retiring” and assuming her current role as Lab Director at Seattle Reproductive Medicine. Additionally, she works as a laboratory consultant, focusing on enhancing IVF laboratory performance, quality, and outcomes. Board-certified in Embryology and Andrology, Kristen has authored and co-authored over 65 articles, abstracts, and book chapters. Her passions include early mornings in the IVF Lab, baking, backpacking, and chatting about embryology with anyone who will listen. Outside of work, she dedicates her free time to annoying her family, volunteering as an ambassador at the Seattle Zoo and serving as Director at a historic Girl Scout backpacking camp in the Sierras.
