Silvia Fox, PsyD
Dr. Silvia Schneider Fox is a clinical psychologist in independent practice, who offers Telehealth and in-person services in Chicago. She has been a specialist in the field of reproductive psychology since 1992. She counsels individuals and couples and facilitates workshops, seminars and support groups focused on all psychological aspects of family-building. A substantial portion of Dr. Fox's practice focuses on counseling participants in third-party reproduction arrangements. She collaborates with professional stakeholders, performing psychoeducational screenings, mental health evaluations and psychological testing for donors, surrogates and intended parents. As a board member of Men Having Babies and a member of the LGBTQ Special Interest Group of ASRM, she is passionate about inclusivity and advocates nationally and internationally for the rights of all individuals to build their families. Besides her role as a practicing therapist, Dr. Fox writes and lectures on various topics surrounding the psychological and ethical issues of family building. She speaks and consults to fertility clinics across the country, educates medical staff, supervises, and mentors clinicians-in-training. Her professional affiliations include the Mental Health Professional Group of ASRM; The Society for Ethics for Egg Donation and Surrogacy (SEEDS); and European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE).
