Karissa Hammer, MD

Dr Hammer is a senior clinical and research fellow in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. She is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG). She is passionate about women’s reproductive rights and has advocated on capitol hill with her colleagues as a leader within the ACOG community. She has held several leadership roles including Chief Resident, Illinois Section Chair of ACOG Junior Fellows, District Vice Chair and District Chair of ACOG Junior Fellows. Dr Hammer has a specific focus on reproductive surgery and is a current Surgical Scholar with the Society of Reproductive Surgeons. Her research interests include the impact of AMH on IVF outcomes, impact of environmental and psychosocial influences on fertility and effective methods for medical, graduate, and fellow education. Dr Hammer is looking forward to graduating from fellowship this June and joining the practice of Center for Reproductive Care at Rush University.
