Tim Schlesinger, JD

Tim Schlesinger is a founding partner of the Midwest Fertility Law Group, PLC. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1983. Tim’s practice is now devoted to representing people involved in assisted reproduction (ART), as well as fertility clinics and agencies. Tim is licensed to practice in Missouri, Illinois, Tennessee and Oklahoma, is on the Executive Council for the Assisted Reproductive Technologies Committee of the Family Law Section of the American Bar Association, is a Fellow of the Academy of Adoption and Assisted Reproduction Attorneys, and is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. Tim created the Missouri Bar Family Law Deskbook Chapter on third-party assisted reproduction, wrote the chapter Reproductive Surrogacy in Missouri for Cambridge University Press and is the author of numerous additional publications and bar journal articles on family law and the law of assisted reproduction. Tim was the lead counsel for the winning side in a groundbreaking case involving the disposition of frozen embryos and the constitution, and has been a frequent speaker and author on that and other ART topics. Tim has been an adjunct instructor and guest lecturer at the Washington University School of Law in St. Louis.
